Internet connectivity and speed

Our VoIP service relies on a high-quality internet connection such as Fibre, LTE or Wireless to handle calls effectively. Quality of the broadband internet connection is critical. Our team of solutions experts are on hand to guide you in this matter.

Voice Quality

Voice quality is subject to the stability and speed of your internet connection, and the congestion of your network, which is why we often recommend using data connections that are exclusively used for voice and are uncontended with other data reliant activities. We have solutions to just about every voice quality issue these days.

Best effort service vs managed service

ADSL, 3G, 4G, LTE, LTE-A, Fixed LTE, 5G, Fibre to the Home, Fibre to the Business Lite are all best effort services.

Best effort service means there is no guarantee provided on the speed in which data will be delivered or the quality of the data when it is transmitted since the network is being shared with other users. The services provided are dependent on the current traffic load. Best effort services are typically more cost effective and work very well – think of your Smartphone connection – but are not guaranteed services

A dedicated or managed internet service is not shared with other users and can therefore provide a continuous level of service to all users on the network.

Our Lite offerings are based on a best effort service which suits most businesses, however, should you be concerned about network congestion and call quality, our Premium packages provide a managed service to ensure optimal quality.
